How to embed Google Slides in Joomla Articles?

You can embed Google slides in Joomla Articles effortlessly using Dearflip. Just imagine creating a stunning Joomla flipbook using presentation slides. Step 1: Open your file in Google Slides and download the file in PDF Format.

Step 2: Upload the pdf file using Joomla Media Manager. Copy the path to the PDF file

Step 3: Go to Component --> Dearflip, Click on 'Add New Book'.

Step 4: Enter a title.

Step 5: Choose the Book source type as PDF.

Step 6: On PDF Source, give the path to the PDF file you uploaded in step 2.

Step 7: Save the Book. 

Step 8: Copy the generated shortcode.

Step 9: Now go to Content -> Articles, and create a new article or open an existing article to edit. 

Step 10: Paste the shortcode, you copied in Step 8, anywhere in the article.

Step 11: Save and view the article from the front end. You'll see Google slides flipping beautifully.

On the other hand, you may sometimes like to embed Google slides in Joomla without converting them into a Joomla flipbook. This will let your slide appear as it is, with animation and videos as well. We'll discuss this method of embedding slides in Joomla as well. Let's start: 

Step 1: Open your presentation file in Google Slides. 

Step 2: Go to File --> Publish to the web

Step 3: Click on Embed

Step 4: Adjust the slide sizes and other given options.

Step 5: Click on Publish.

Step 6: Copy the generated iframe code. 

Step 7: Now go to your Joomla site, Content --> Articles

Step 8: Create a new article or open an existing article to edit

Step 9: Toggle the editor to edit the source code of the article. 

Step 10: Now paste the iframe code you copied in Step 6, anywhere in the article, where you want to display the slides.

Step 11: View the article from the front end to see your Google slides embedded in Joomla.

The advantage of using this method is, you can edit the slides in Google slides and get your changes to appear on your Joomla site in real-time.
